If he beats Calzaghe and Tarver. Top 10-15 ATG.

The Hopkins fight aint that relivent because Roy won the as close to prime fight comfortably with a broken hand.

I refuse to get my hopes up. :bart

This really is the most ridiculous comment I've seen on here. Well what if Oscar De La Hoya chooses Roberto Duran to be his next fight, and old Hands of Stone turns the clock back to whup him, then he calls out Floyd Mayweather, and is too quick and too slick for the Pretty Boy, then accepts a catchweight contest v both Klitschko brothers, and wins on points???

    There's about as much chance.

After being knocked out by Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver then beaten by Tarver again, he was so far over the hill he was coming up the other side. And that was 3 years ago. Is a points win over a rusty blown-up welterweight enough to put him in with the #2 pound-for-pound fighter in the world?? And did you see what Hopkins done to Tarver in 2006??

Roy Jones Jr was the greatest of our generation and a top 10 all-time pound-for-pounder. Can we please leave him as that?

    lol how is it ridiculous.
He is going to fight Calzaghe isnt he not?
He also said if GBP comes right he would fight Hopkins again. theres 2 and 3 im sure he would want his revenge on tarver. You act like these things cant get done, all these dudes are active fighters and are in his weight class, so how is my statement ridiculous.l You are reaching with delahoya and roberto duran. Relax b, you sound foolish right now

To anyone reading this it is most definitely you who sounds foolish. I am clearly mocking you with my DLH-Duran chat, you actually think Jones Jr at 40 and having not beaten a decent fighter since 2003, will now be able to avoid embarrassment against #2 pound-for-pound in the world. It's not the point that it can get done, Azumah Nelson can make a comeback at 50, the point is that it is an insane idea.

ooooh I get it so, b/c he is fighting Calzaghe means he is automatically gonna get beat, hence you saying avoiding embarassment against the #2 p4p fighter in the world.
**** outta here, what does that mean fighters can b beat. Calzaghe struggled with an older B-hop
RJ is faster, more powerful. I dont understand y RJ dont have a chance
    Ban this fool

You're clearly an imbecile. Calzaghe is by no means one of my favourite fighters, but he is #2 P4P consistently fighting the best around. Hopkins is a guy who can still fight at a freakishly high level despite his age. Jones Jr is neither of these things.

    Argue with this:

The last time Jones legitimately beat a decent fighter was John Ruiz in March 2003. That's FIVE YEARS ago!

Although he got the decision against Tarver first time he lost the fight by a mile, then he lost 3 in a row (2 stonecold knockouts) to guys he would have blown away in his prime. Then he beat 2 guys on points who were mediocre at best, and then was that joke against an overweight blown-up welterweight who hadn't won a fight in years- and Jones couldn't even stop him!!
Does this form mean you should be getting into the ring with the #2 pound-for-pound guy in the world? Are you off your ****ing head?!?!? Jones Jr should not even be allowed a world title shot until he beats even ONE top 10 ranked light-heavyweight opponent.

I'm with you but Jones clearly beat Tarver in the first fight.

I have the fight on video, I disagree. Jones was weight-drained and lethargic, Tarver won easily.

You have it on VIDEO!!? No Way

I've watched that fight atleast ten times, scoring it round for round Roy Jones wins everytime, Tarver gave him a tough time but it wasn't a hard fight to score unless you give credit for ineffective aggression and flurries of punches landed on arms.
