Who was better P4P: Roy Jones Jr or Floyd Mayweather Jr?

I am genuinely surprised someone could have thought Jones 'clearly' won that fight. He lay on the ropes for most of it and looked shattered, tried to flurry once or twice, never came to much. Tarver outworked and outfought him, a clear win. Don't suppose there's any point in continuing this, we disagree.

i dont care what he shouldnt b allowed 2 do, styles make fights

Calzaghe had problems with a 43 yrd old bhop with no pop and decent speed. the fight was at 175 btw not 168. The fight with RJ will b at 175 where RJ is naturally the bigger man.
RJ is faster, stronger and even in this state has the physical tools 2 beat Calzaghe. I dont get this whole p4p #2 bs. You act like RJ is 39 and calzaghe was a 23yr old, dude is 35 yrs old he isnt exactly young either.
ANd this not just some hasbeen that he is fighting he is fightin a legend who still got something. So I dont know why I am 2 believe that b/c Calzaghe is #2 p4p he cant b beaten.
ASk me this wat was Jermain Taylors p4p rank be4 Pavlik knocked him out?
B/c the way u are making it seem 2 me, is when a fighter is on a p4p list he cant b beat.
F outta here, we will speak on this again after RJ beats Calzaghe

We all know it's Roy Jones Jr.

And personally I don't think it's so far fetched that he would beat Calzaghe, I wouldn't bet on Roy winning but I think he has a decent chance. If he were to actually beat Calzaghe I would put him in the top 10 ATG, and yes I'm crazy.

The only reason people think that Tarver won the first fight is because of RJJ'S reputation. He had set the bar so high for himself with all those one sided fights that people held him to a higher standard. Jones won by a close but clear margin.

I think you know very very little about boxing. Age is just a number, it doesn't matter that Calzaghe is 35 or that Hopkins is 43, these guys have coped with age and are still regularly competing at the very top. Jones has not been doing so for years. It would be dangerous for his health to be allowed to follow a nonsense fight against a washed-up 147lbs fighter with a clash against a guy generally recognized in the boxing community as being one of the current best. To be considered worthy of a world title shot, don't opponents have to be fighting a certain level of opposition? Isn't that a rule? I don't think Jones should be allowed by the authorities to challenge Calzaghe. I fear for what would happen to him if he has had 4 years of deterioration since he was knocked spark out twice by two OK fighters.

your stating something over again that i have already said I could care less. Oscar delahoya hasnt won a meaningful fight in yrs but yet he still fights top level competition. SO i dont wanna hear that. Fact of the matter is RJ has the physical tools 2 beat Calzaghe and saying he cant win just b/c calzaghe is p4p #2 doesnt mean a thing 2 me.
So like I said we shall see after RJ beats Calzaghe

I would bet everything I had that RJJ will not hear the final bell v Calzaghe. If they both fought in their prime, RJJ would wipe the floor with him. But the current RJJ who got KO'd by Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver 3-4 years ago and has progressively deteriorated ever since with age would be destroyed by a guy still at the top of his game. It would be a walkover, a joke. Lewis v Tyson all over again (similar ages but 1 guy has coped far better with age than the other). I pray it doesn't happen as I don't want that to happen to RJJ. I wish boxing fans would ****ing smarten up and stop hyping old legends into fights they shouldn't be allowed to get into. I guess you're the sort of guy who hopes Erik Morales comes back or thinks Tito Trinidad could do a job v Hopkins. Your ignorance is dangerous.
