Unfortunately for Taylor, I think Jeff lacy is going to demolish Taylor...this is a bad style match up for Taylor. He will get KO'd within 4 rounds!!

I actually think Taylor is p4p material and that Pavlik just had his number. Taylor beat Hopkins and I think it will be difficult for Jeff. Jeff is tough as they come, but I think Taylor may be too much.

However, I am excited about the fight.:bbb

I actually like Jermain Taylor and i will indeed be rooting for him to win, but, after watching both men fight for several years, I really don't see how Jermain Taylor can win this fight. Jeff lacy's counterpunching skills are very underrated. He will counter Taylor's jab...it will be over within 4 rounds.

If he means the version of the fighter that he fought he is right, if he means the better fighter period, then Roy's punches had some seriously delayed effects, as the best boxer he ever faced was the guy he fought Saturday. If he is saying that Kessler is a better fighter overall than either Hopkins or Roy, he really needs to forget about Dawson and hang 'em up, cause he's getting puchy.

So, I take it that means there will be no rematch, then? Of course, why go after the biggest challenge?

Kessler was Calzaghe's most impressive victory and IMO the hardest fight he has ever had, and I thought this before Calzaghe said this. Kessler just needs to stay focused and train hard and continue to improve and he will have a great great career.

    Huh?

Then he could have said Eubanks or Hopkins or Lacy.. they were all his wins. I think you need to go back to the drawng board on that post, dude.

you know i've often thought that hometown advantage is what gave Calzaghe the edge against Kessler. In all sports, being at home is an advantage, boxing is no different. Kessler might have edged out Calzaghe if the fight was in Denmark. But the truth is that it was in Wales, and Calzaghe beat him. Anything else is pure speculation.

No way, Kesslers resume is weaker then Eubanks, which is hardley a strong one itself. To me at this time there is nothing to suggest the straight line fighing Kessler beats Eubank. If he beats a Nigel Benn type figure then we can start talking. As far as Roy Jones, Hopkins comparisons go you can't even begin to think about compairing them with Kessler at the moment. Kessler at this moment is not in the same league as a peak Hopkins or Jones.

Speaking of Eubank here's a quote from him about Kessler.

"I watched the guy with the tattoo's (Mikkel Kessler) when I was in Las Vegas in April, and he's ordinary."

"He can't fight going back or counter punch."

"If you consciously know range and angles you shouldn't have a problem with this guy."

    Chris Eubank :deal

Kessler is a very good fighter by the looks of things but he needs to up his game to warrant the applaud he gets on here, imo. He is also going to have trouble with styles, ihmo.

Well funny thing that Calzaghe was loosing to Kessler and didn't take over the fight before he consistently started using his jab.

Know just because Chris Eubanks says something doesn't make it true. You know Lennox Lewis said that Jones Jr. would win against Calzaghe....

    :deal

To be fair, in the states he met them all in Kessler probably is the only fighter who had a chance of beating him (Kessler and perhaps Lacy - who proved to be a dud). What does that say? It say two things to me, one is that Joe is very good... the other that...

I didn't say it meant it was true just that at this moment in time I rate Eubank, Jones, and Hopkins as all superior boxers to Kessler. That is the point I was replying to - someone who disputed that. Show me Kessler's best win, and I will show you better performances from any of those guys.
