Who was closest to Sugar Ray Robinson stylistically?

When De La Hoya faced Vargas, I saw alot of similarity with Robinson's performance against LaMotta, 1951. Oscar placed his right hand in front of his chin just like Ray, jabbed from a distance, stepped back and around and countered the rushing Vargas. He also spread his legs a bit more than he usually did when punching.

I wouldn't be surprised if Oscar spent much time in camp watching Robinson-LaMotta VI.

Ike was a truly great Lightweight my no 3, not as fluid as Ray but p4p hit as hard if not harder,Ray referred to him as" hey ugly" ,and they nearly got in to it,Ike didnt care for Ray ,but admitted he would not have beaten the Sugar man.Basilio said Ike hit him harder than Ray , but Carmen was another one who wasnt in Ray's fan club.

Mosley had those flashy blinding combos ,but ultimately proved to be less than the total package ,imo.Robinson could knock you out while he was going backwards,he was a seriously destructive hitter.Floyd Patterson said"his fists look like they go off automatically",coming from some one with the handspeed of Floyd ,thats quite a compliment ,I think.

He was a big puncher from the footage I've seen, not much more. He looks quite average, even below average, as a boxer. Very open to be hit, and was often. I'd pick quite a few Lightweights over him.

Georgie "Sugar" Costner was the mirror image of Robinson, but in their head-to-head, Georgie proved to be artificial sweetner.

Ezzard Charles, or Howard Davis jr, albeit without certain qualities.

I am by no means as cultured as you guys when it comes to SRR but from the handful of fights I've seen of his I see Shane Moseley. Except Shane doesnt look as smooth, he is more twitchy and jittery.
