Lacy went twlve rounds with P4P #2 Joe Calzaghe and was still hitting at the end of round twelve. He tried, but it wasn't enough and he lost a wide UD. Mijares went in there with Vic from Austrlaia and was dominated until he was finally released from his misery by way of KO. Who was more resoundingly brought back to reality? Lacy or Mijares? Who is there no shame in losing to: Calzaghe or Vic? What way is there no shame in losing: Schooled for 12 rounds or schooled and then KTFO? PS. Instead of Lacy-Calzaghe, I could have chosen Pavlik-Hopkins - both went 12 rounds. _________ Lacy or Mijares?
Mijares for sure. At least Lacy was still trying in round 12, while Mijares was recovering like a sissy on his stool.
Look at the poll bozo. Most fans agree that it is being exposed more: A. if you run your mouth, fight dirty, and then get schooled and KTFO by a good fighter B. than if you get schooled but last all rounds with a p4p fighter. It is logical. And it says something about your bias if you refuse to see it.
Mijares seemed to be having alot of trouble with Darchinyan's power specifically. The reason I say that is everytime Mijares tried to get going Darchinyan would thump him with a hard shot and Mijares would lose momentum again.. The power was a major factor. Nothing like Lacy/Calzaghe, where it was all tooling pretty much strictly. Darchinyan gave Mijares some harsh lessons, regardless.
Lacy was just a hype job that still was unproven. Mijares was considered one of the best boxers in the world. Stil, Lacy was outclassed a bit more even though there was no KO.
Lacy,he proved he wa sjust a hypejob dissapearing after that.I can bet Mijares will be back, this was just a setback
