Who was exposed the worst: Helenius vs. Chisora or Haye vs. Thompson?

They are two entirely different situations. I don't see how anyone could compare the two, unless they have a disturbing hatred of Haye.

Haye was a young, inexperienced fighter who punched himself out against a tough veteran. That's comparable to, say, Lemieux vs. Rubio, but it isn't comparable to Chisora vs. Helenius, which was one overrated fighter being soundly outboxed by someone who is in a similar position to him. That's comparable to say, Cotto vs. Malignaggi.

As for the worst performance, it's Helenius without question. Haye needed that loss to make him a better fighter and that's why as a Lemieux fan, I wasn't too bothered about the loss to Rubio. However, if I was a Helenius fan, I'd be concerned that one of my favourites simply isn't good enough for the elite and it's highly unlikely he ever will be.

Helenius is close to the same age Haye was then (Haye was 25 then, Robert is 27 now).

Haye was in with a faded 40 year old who had been stopped five times previously. Helenius was in with a tough, aggressive young fighter who takes a punch very well and has never been down in a fight.

Haye showed he has a weak CHIN in that fight, while Helenius showed he has a solid chin against Chisora.

Wlad vs. Sanders was a disgrace. Makes Helenius look like a warrior.

Here Haye is knocked down hard and comes close to being stopped by a little super-middleweight, Lolenga Mock. Another referee might have stopped it:

i dont like haye hes a dickhead..but the only thing exposed when haye fought thompson was hayes arrogance..the same way wlad was exposed for the same thing against sanders..going in against dangerous fighters with no game plan and no respect gets you knocked the **** out...helenius is just ****.ive always said it..so he wasnt exposed to me it just confirmed what i already knew..tho i didnt think it would be chisora proving it for me..kudos to that nucca

Helenius was asked before the fight if he'd watched any video of Chisora and he said he had not, except for a little of the Fury fight. He said something like "I don't need to, I know what I can do" - it seems to me he was overconfident.

With Haye in the Mock and Thompson fights, he was simply exposed as being a rather fragile boxer. Consider too how he fell apart in the Solis fight in 2001 and was stopped.

    **** thread.

joe Mackenzie just cant help himself but turn absolutely anything into a David Haye Hate thread.

What the hell has David Haye got to do with Chisora getting robbed?

    Precisely nothing. That's what.

solis was a great amature no shame in losing to him..ibragimiv lost to him aswell really no shame atall..as a pro its a different story..haye was an over confident dick..just like wlad was when he faced sanders and they both got there asses beat..it humbled wlad and we have what weve got today..haye was carefully matched after that and grew his ego back..you dont judge a fighter by his defeats esp when they where so early in their carrer..i wouldnt stoop to a haters level to anoy people.skills of the boxers i enjoy watching are all i need to get me through hate filled posts from some of the silly cocks on this forum

A fighter is only "exposed" if a fight and the followin fights reveal that he is far below what was expected of him. Haye overpaced against a smart veteran and then went on to show much better performances. Bad performances happen to all athletes sometimes. For Helenius, it's way too early to know how good he can be.

Helenius was not exposed! He was injured fighter..one very well known trainer and promotor sayed that Chisora is only 5 to 6th round fighter to healtly Helenius

I hope hope there will be second encounter, because then Chicora will eat his words and gets koed

I agree Robert was not really exposed.

I made this thread in response to all the hayemosexuals who were bashing Helenius and calling him a bum.

Thompson was still a top ranked Cruiser despite his age.

    And it was Hayes...what...10th fight?

Was actually a great fight whle it lasted. Real slug fest, started out looking like Haye was going to destroy him, and then Haye just got weaker and weaker.
