Camacho, no doubt about it, in my opinion. Much faster on his feet in terms of opening and closing the distance, and just as fast with his hands, although he used to actually put more body into his shots, so maybe he wouldn't flick off the kind of 8-punch shoe-shine flurries that Taylor did.

As far as the whole package, camacho. The difference between their handspeed really isn't anything that translates into a different world of effectiveness. There IS a noteable difference in footspeed and macho got it.

Camacho, imo Taylor looks faster than he is because he throws slappyzage flurries, that's not real handspeed though - not that he isn't quick ofcourse

Different styles of speed, Taylor was a real machine gun slapper much of the time where as Camacho had more style and variety. Prime Howard Davis Jr belongs with them too.

:good I agree ........ Taylor had the fastest hands ive ever seen,, Camacho aint to far off but for anyone who thinks his hands were faster than Taylors... Maybe its the flashiness and all the movement hed give when throwing punches in bunches that made it appear that way..

But im pretty sure if prime versions of both guys were testing eachother out,, Taylor would hands would get there a nanonaooMilisecond faster.

It's a tossup, but Taylor may have had a slight edge.Camacho was more fluid, however.

Camacho (see that left hand at 0:16.. old Sugar Ray Leonard got some of that from old Hector Camacho)

Lonnie Smith may also have given these two a run as far as speed is concerned.

Camacho was a very exciting fighter when he really put his punches together and let his hands go.The barrage of punches that he put Boza-Edwards down with in the opening round was some breath-taking stuff.Unfortunately,he always stayed in the same pattern of throwng a double jab followed with a straight left;occasionally he threw in a hook to the body or an uppercut, but that was it.
