Incorrect. Once again you show you have no knowledge on the subject of which you speak. I'd like to point you in the direction of the last thread I started in this forum on the subject of Joe Calzaghe, entitled 'Calzaghe deserves a lot of credit'.
Come on man. Ive read your posts. And you come out with 'my opinion is benn would smash calzaghe to bits'???:huh
It would be a great fight imo.. Calzaghe would be favourite mind. Having said that, It's unfair to say Calzaghe struggles with Reid, and the likes of Bika etc, but wipes the floor with Benn - and to suggest it wouldn't even be a fight. I mean how many fighters (in the state he met them) has Calzaghe beat that were as good as a prime Benn? Arguably none.
...is that the version (a younger version) Taylor managed to beat twice? Benn had a high punch output, American Judges love to score it to aggressors, I wouldn't be too sure about that old man version of Hopkins whipping an energetic sprightly Benn. You never know in boxing... Benn is absolutely nothing like Pavlik either before you go down that road...
Benn fighting Barkley, early in his career, in the States... Benn we salute you.. [yt]tyw_v1sN-58[/yt]
Alot of nostalgic love for the crowd pleasing Benn here... So when Benn got stopped by Watson and Eubank he wasnt Prime? lol (despite getting 2 of his biggest wins between those 2 defeats). And when he was beaten by Malinga and Collins he was shot? Calzaghe wasnt at his best vs Jones and Hopkins but had enough to win...and as for his Bika like performances..thats down to motivation. Joe's superior handspeed and boxing ability would make him a clear fav...a UD or possibly weather the early storm and get a stoppage.
