Out of curiosity what is (roughly) your top 5 at Heavyweight and who are the three in contention for the 6-8 spots?

I’d say Chang. I like Tyson a lot I feel he’s in that class like De La Hoya where he’s either overrated or underrated but seldom rated accordingly.

Chang was just a brilliant fighter and very dominant. He may not quite had the peaks or accolades at least that Tyson had as individual moments but he also didn’t have the same lows.

Hard one, as heavyweight division is more historically proven than light flyweight.

I think I'll still pick Chang though

    Just a thought experiment:

If Chang is given the decision correctly in the first Zapata fight and never comes back after his original retirement, then he'd be undefeated in 36 fights with some 20 defenses?

Then how would he be judged? BoxRec warriors would hold him as highly as they do someone like Finito. Kind of ironic then that Chang tainted his legacy by coming back and nearly beat two much larger flyweights - one of whom is a borderline all-time flyweight.

    I think fairly decisively, too.

I feel like Chang got the short end against Zapata I and Chitalada II, and feel like he should have gotten the decision in both.

I agree. And he was not at his best physically in either fights. He was injured for Zapata I and didn't postpone only because he was afraid of blowing his championship chance; and he was well past physical expiration point when he came back after his retirement. Heck, he looked physically not himself even during a few fights prior to his initial retirement.
