Both had impressive resumes and pretty much both fought equal opposition up until they met up, Tito won the fight they had although very controversial...both had similar fights even after, so who do you think has had a greater career?

    Oscar.

Oscar has a better resume, champion in more weight classes, and beat Trinidad but was obviously robbed.

Had a better performance against Hopkins.

I'd say Tito but its close for the both of them.

Oscar lasted 9 rounds with Hopkins while tito went to the 12 stanza I don't see how you can say Oscar had the better performance

True. Also, Oscar has yet to be dominated by any fighter. Tito was owned by Winky. I also don't like how when Tito loses, he then retires. Yes, we heard all the excuses why he left and why he returned. Benn was like that too. Rumor is that if Oscar does not fight him then he will retire again. If it is true, why the hell would Oscar move up to 165? If I were Oscar, I would take my chances with Cotto instead.

de la hoya was definetly robbed. that fight was nothing like calzaghe/hopkins. de la hoya was outboxing him thorougly. de la hoya was greater. greater longevity to his career. championship in 6 weight classes. oscar was more competitive in the hopkins fight. it should be noted that tito is naturally bigger than de la hoya, starting his career at 147 as opposed to starting at 130, so him lasting longer is no surprise. and why on earth would hopkins give him a rematch? it wasn't even close and didn't warrant a rematch.

Actually, Tito started at 140 and no one would give him a crack at a title. He then moved up to 147 and won a title after three or four fights at the WW division. No disrespect, I just did not know if you knew he actually started at 140.

Easy. Oscar. Tito has been thoroughly outboxed by Hopkins, Wright and Oscar. He isn't in the same league as Oscar.

They're both great for DIFFERENT REASONS:

Oscar is more DECORATED in that he's boxing's "money maker," even though Tito just made $15 million for his first fight in 3 years. NOT BAD..Oscar also makes BETTER decisions, in fighting MORE fighters that had names but SERIOUS questions marks. Oscar is the ultimate opportunists.
    (Vargas) after Tito bludgeoned him
    (Mayorga) after Tito bludgeoned him
These, along with the Ike Quartey masterpiece are considered DLH's crowning moments in the sport, maybe not Mayorga as much, but.....

Tito is a "fighter's fighter" who makes QUESTIONABLE decisions like:
(Winky) actually paying Winky the extra mil so he could bank $5 million for THAT ass whipping
(RoyJones) fighting a man who has won the "FREAKING" HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD

excitement level = For me this isn't even close. I have over 70 fighters entire collection and Tito's is always one of the funnest and funniest to watch just destroying fools.

cross over appeal = DLH case closed
opposition level= DLH, and not by THAT much.

Oscar is the better boxer and more DECORATED, but Tito is just as accomplished, winning his first 40 fights winning 5 titles in 3 weight divisions, and taking the "0's" of Carr, Campus, DLH, Reid, and Vargas, and has the heart of a lion.

While Oscar has fought Quartey, Mosley, and Mayweather, Tito has fought Winky Wright, and Roy Jones,

    Oscar by a nose.

    De La Hoya

Titles in more weight classes, beat better opposition from top to bottom.

DLH. But Tito seems to be more universally respected more. He dared to be great. I wonder if DLH would have as well, had he NOT the backing of billions of dollars.
