Every time i look at Rumble i'm amazed. How the **** did this guy ever squeeze his big ass down to 170lbs?!?!?!?!!?!? Look at the size of him! Even at 85 the dude is jacked! And is Evans on the good stuff? His delts seem to get bigger every time i see him. He used to be a fat ****. Now he has muscles hanging off him.
I'm not sure he is. It's extremely difficult to loose that much weight. But ultimately if it was muscle mass he was loosing you'd see it at his weigh ins, performances and conditioning. But he still looked great on the scales at 170 and looks healthy even when in between fights. He just seems to be a naturally big dude with an uncanny ability to squeeze his massive frame into a much lower weight.
Rumble is a tough cat. I don't think he'll beat Vitor in Brazil but it should be a great fight for as long as it lasts.
Vitor is difficult to predict these days as he's so erratic. That said if Rumble gets it to the mat he could stop him. Vitor's been doing this for a looong time and i'm not sure what really motivates him any more. In some respects he is still very much over rated by his fans.
If it goes to the ground you have to favour Rumble. Standing up its a scary fight for both. Someone has to execute with destruction.
I do, because Rumble is going to stink up the fight and grapple**** him, a strategy that stands a strong chance given Vitor's lackadaisical takedown defense and nonexistant offensive guard.
Im leaning toward Rumble in this one. The guy moves pretty well, and you cant say that about anyone, with the exception of Rich, that Vitor has kodded. Even in that fight he caught Franklin pretty flat footed, cant see Belfort being able to utilise his flurries barring a mistake from Rumble. Look for Rumble to use his kicks to keep it at range on the feet, and the grappling speaks for itself here. As long as Rumble avoids a punching exchange, he has the tools in his arsenal to take the UD, maybe even finish it from the guard with a few big right hands to force a Ref stoppage
Really liking Rumble in his comeback as he appears to mix his wrestling with his striking and if you can defend the subs then its a devastating combo.
The "WAR" hats are a callback to Marvin Hagler wearing "WAR" hats during the buildup to his classic fight with Thomas Hitman Hearns. To OP: You can change the title of the thread to 185lbs who was he kidding? lol
