I love both of these fighters, and think that in terms of accomplishment they are fairly evenly matched. Neither was unbeatable, and both had trouble with movement and a good jab. Of course, most fighters do, but............. If you're one to rank fighters on P4P lists, whom do you rank ahead, Nelson or Tiger? I can honestly see a case for either.
Historically and charismatic wise probably tiger. But who was p4p the better fighter in actuality? Probably Nelson.
Incidentally I think Azumah Nelson is somewhat underrated. Very dominant featherweight champion with incredible abilities.. He lost in a very competitive 15 round fight Salvador Sanchez when he only had 14 or 15 pro bouts in 1982. His next loss was a prime whitaker when Azumah was 32, had only fought once in the previous 15 months and was jumping weight divisions for the second time in his career.. I've often wondered if either of those guys had fought him say when he was in his late 20's and at his ideal best weight if he might have beaten them.
This thread was more recent and got a lot more input https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/who-was-greater-tiger-or-azumah-nelson.618167/
Yes, you do....but I have also heard reports that you made people puke today....so I am confused as to just what this means lol
Well Philly, I was under the impression this was a thread asking for people's opinions on the topic of Nelson and Tiger
