Vargas looked like a kid in the Trinidad fight, with barely over 20 fights and barely over 20 years of age. Not sure how anyone could possibly think he had reached his max potential.... bizarre stance.

Anyways, the thing is..... vargas was having out of the ring issues around that time, plus with back problems, excess alchohal consumption and his eventual ballooning up in weight between fights to an extremely harmful degree, its hard to say that the tito fight was bad for his career.

Had he the discipline of Hopkins or Mayweather, absolutely.... but with how things went anyways outside the ring he might have never reached his full potential regardless.

Kirk...thats Vargas best...he will not grow longer limbs...Tito never lost a guy with Vargas frame...Vargas chin can take the bombardment Tito offered at 154, pretty much like anybody else...DLH didn't just run cause he wanted to ruin his signature win :patsch... Dlh had more reach than Vargas...Vargas an excellent counter puncher, all around boxer...Tito had longer arms and only fights one way :boxer

Vargas was within the artillery range...nothing changes

I was expecting much more from David Reid. Fernando Vargas seemed off to me from day 1.
