Two masters of the 12 round bore here,i find it hard to separate them.In almost every fight they are in the judges get called into action after 12 tedious rounds.Calzaghe could not even stop Lacy when the guy was practicaly begging to be knocked out, after 6 rounds i bet the judges thought they were in for an early night. But no! Joe made sure they earned thier keep.I did once see him stop a bloke Pudwill was his name,i guess old Tocker must have slipped or something and banged his head, surely it wasnt a punch.
Ottke is no better,a man with feathers for fists who seemed to take plesure in boring a crowd.I was lucky not to see to many of his fights in full thank god,but im sure some people on here have.Just wondered who people found more boring, its a close call and possibly a draw something that would almost certainly have happened had these 2 ever fought each other.

Calzaghe is very exciting to watch if you know what he's doing.

Calzaghe was more boring , is that what you wanna hear, get the frigg outta hear . i fail to see how you think Calzaghe fights where boring considering the volume of punches per round he would throw power or no power. not to mention the quality of the shots

What a nob u r !! ...u odviously know nothing about boxing if you honestly think Joe was a boring boxer .... he was a masterful tactitian of his art ... Youre odviously only interested in TKO specialists which sums up youre limited knowledge of boxing !

Watch the Kessler v JC fight that was one of the finest fights between two superb boxers .....

I would also say, he is exiting to watch if you understand mid fight adjustments, the control of your oponent by tempo and upsetting his rythym with punch output.

If JC is boring to watch, then Hopkins must be the most boring fighter ever..

JC is not boring, It's fun to watch him. It's like watching gay guys slaps each other. Though it's only Joe whos doing the slapping.

Ottke, Oh please, this guy is pure fake! He needs ref's help to win!

Most of the Calzaghe nutthuggers like the english glory hunting hanger on fans post 2006 and Americans have only seen Calzaghe fight with his flurry style not punching. I;m not including his Welsh fans who have always supported him way back in the 90's.
I watchd the 1993 -2004 Calzaghe fights are completely different, he had good power and most his fights didn't go past 8 rounds. In 2005 he last broke his left hand and since then no power.
Ottke on the other hand used to spend 12 rounds running away from his opponent and then getting the judges to do the winning.
