Winky was more ducked, He was a defensive turtle with a good southpaw jab & the payday was small

GGG will become less ducked as his paydays will grow larger due to his exciting style :boxer

So atleast fighters will get paid better to face GGG

GGG's ducker's list will in all likelyhood continue to grow. Not fair to compare until GGG has hung them up in a few world title's time.

What fighters "ducked" Winky?? The only one that might have a case is DLH.

Winky at 154 lbs was just in a weak weight class.
Both DLH and Fernando Vargas ducked him though.

    :deal

DLH did offer Winky $6 million guarantee and $6 for every PPV buy over 600K. His camp turned it down because they wanted $10 million guaranteed. It should be noted that he's never gotten an offer that lucrative ever since.

But he was avoided throughout his tenure by most of the names but eventually he got the quality fights that he craved; Mosley 2X, Trinidad and Hopkins (Albeit at 170).

The thing is Winky was calling out smaller men, so an established boxer with a great following not wanting to fight WInky isn't a "duck" in my opinion. Ducking is when you avoid something in your path, like avoiding a beltholder in ur weightclass which allow you to unify, as long as that fighter has a decent following. Avoiding a nobody isn't ducking.

Vargas looked like a different fighter back then. Lightning fast combinations.

That was an excellent fight. And not controversial at all imo.

you have a point (to a point) with the bigger guy calling out smaller men part, but unification shouldn't have such a great emphasis in this sport

who you fought and when should be how a fighter's career should be remembered and broken down - that is the only way to credit fighters in this era and compare them to those of the past

calling wright a "nobody" couldn't be further from the truth, but I understand what you're saying by "an established fighter with a great following" wouldn't want to fight him - wright was high risk, low reward even though all the big players knew him, respected him and rated him

when he finally did 'breakthrough' though, he dominated Trinidad with a jab..and I remember mosley sitting despondent on hs stool halfway through their rematch
