It rubbed me the wrong way when Winky Wright was acting like he was viciously robbed in the Jermain Taylor fight .

He act as if went out there and completely dominated 9 rounds clean .

JT had a lot of big moments in that fight , he truly did break threw winkys defense at times .

    Good, close fight .

i know its popular for boxing fans to lay claim to the myth that winky was ducked by all the top fighters .. sorry fellas that is some nicely revisionary (sp idk?) history BS..

wink (only during certain year, very limited time) was a tough matchup due to his high guard and his good pretty long fairly good jab but the facts paint a little different picture.

when you have someone that u know will make the fight look bad, win or lose top fighters arent going to be going out of their way to make the fight.

he got a couple top fighters to fight him but he would only accept big names moving up in weight.

he had legitimate offers from some smaller fighters that he could have made career high paydays but he wanted more and he was the B side. if you're the B side and odl (close to prime) offers you 8-10M when you never came close to that is crazy. winky played hard ball and struck out.

he also without question accepted the 55/45 ir even 60-40 split from TR for the floyd fight. when floyd was trying to move up from 140. winks played hard balll again and of course struck out.

he did beat some decent fighter, past prime Ike gave him all he could handle.
PW was too long for him. stupid fight, a very defensive fighter that wouldnt even know how to get inside someone with a 10' wingspan was what he was left with for all the hard balling he did in his prime...

he beat ssm 2x which was good but ssm was way too small for his huge jmw..
ssm still tried but couldnt consistently land anything past the high guard..
idk man, either he was wicked over rate or Vargas was wicked under rated because a young (pre tito) tore winky a new a$$hole. i think he even stopped him but anyways i remember watching that match, ringside where ever it was and seeing winky make love to the canvas all night.

i think winky hit the canvas more than the amount of Clean Effective Puncher wink landed. if could be just so one sided i am forgetting anything good wink did. now that i think bout it i seem to remember wink lasting the distance but he did make love to the canvas.

wink was "ducked" due to being boring, having no fan base, not being able to help sell a fight with him and being a big fat fight spoiler.

GGG is ducked because peoples handlers dont want them getting KO'd which will be the outcome. of course fighters want to step in with him (no pro fighter is "scared" of any other fighter) once GGGG becomes main stream you watch people will be lining up for that beating. ggg is to high risk low reward atm, all thats going to chance over the next year or 2 max

i fully agree, that fight was so close, i truly couldnt say either won.. if i am remembering correctly JT had most f the Big eewww moments but winks was very consistent...

if ever there was a true draw that was it. neither guy deserve to win and neither deserved to lose if that makes sense

dude esb has to lay off the "duck, cowards, bu, cherry pick and ATG bs"
the ONLY way you can duck someone is to NOT make the offef for your mandatory defense and be stripped..

or you pay your mandao step aside money and never try to make the fight.

you guys claim EVERY single top fighter is ducking every contender you are high on at the moment.. You want to fight someone, (truly want the fight and the belt) become the #1 contender and force the fight.

IF he is going to duck you the belt is vacated. end of story..
