Who was more eroded? Jones from the Calzaghe fight or Tyson from the Lewis fight?

    Tyson, Clearly.

Jones was eroded, but he wasnt 2 decades from his best performances.

Tyson and easily. At least Jones was able to win some rounds and had good moments in that fight here and there despite the cut.

Lewis beat up the same Tyson that fought Nielson & Williams.

tyson i think was competitive if just for one round. jones wasn't even that. aside for a decent uppercut and flash knockdown there was none of the old RJ

Tyson was a mess mentally, he had been for quite a while, his life's a open book & it was only 2 pay off the tax man that he'd drag himself out ov some hookers bed 2 fight, he'd been on those so called persciption drugs 4 a few years & even back in 2000 when he came 2 the UK 2 slaughter julious francis he was heav'ly medicated & all in all he'd become a 3 round fighter & after that it was a 1 punch combo ov punch/hold then attempt 2 break an arm.

At least RJJ wants 2 fight & still has the skills but obviously not the legs.

The Tyson against Lewis was just a broken shell mentally & physically IMO:smoke

I'm amazed how many people voted for Jones

Tyson fought Lewis about a decade past his prime. At least RJJ was still competitive a few years ago. This is seriously not even close.

Tyson had his chin left, Jones had his handspeed (to a degree - single shot stuff)... but Tyson, as he didn't even train or come to fight in shape sadly :(

That's a pretty solid way of looking at it actually.

To me prime Tyson against Prime Lewis would still see Lewis win. Tyson would clearly have a great punchers chance, but Lewis' chin is underrated and Tyson would have struggled to get past the jab and the uppercuts as he came in.

    Prime RJJ whips Calzaghe.

Jones still had very fast hands, but his legs had deteroriated, reflexes slowed, punch resistance diminished, power and accuracy diminished.

Tyson had deteroriated physically, mentally, and technically. He could still punch hard but was not only slower, but didn't as often go about the right way of setting up his bombs. He only remembered to move his head for about one round. His stamina had greatly declined. He was a mental wreck as well.

    Tyson had declined more.

Who's the girl in the sig?

In terms of what they could have accomplished physically (potentially that is, if they had the same amount of discipline), maybe it's even

But overall I'd say Tyson, he was just so far away from it mentally I think that it just added to the physical deterioration.

When great fighters get old they lose

    Footwork, Speed, timing.

Jones lost that years before Calzaghe faced him

Mentally he was no where near the same fight never mind physically.

A real Light Heavy(Dawson/Johnson) would have Kod Jones in that fight.
