Who was more impressive against Marvelous Marvin Hagler?

I hear ya. I always mix up the Canizales Brothers lol.

 

Honestly, Marvin was in control of the fight with Duran and I did not see a lot of urgency from him at all. In the Leonard fight he looked oddly desperate and sometimes sloppy even.

 

I have to agree with you. If SRL decisoned Hagler then so did Roberto Duran who landed many more clean shots and slipped a lot of Hagler's punches. You could see Duran blowing during the last round so carrying 156-1/2 lbs (and who knows what weight he came into the ring) was for him a negative .

 

Hagler couldn't really put a jab on Duran and that's what made the fight a one point score on two cards. Hagler always ate up tall fighters like Hearns. That's boxing.

 

Duran was better than Leonard in fight against Hagler.
