Khan best performances = Judah, Kotelnik, Malinaggi, you can add Maidana in as a great win too although imo Morales beat Maidana and Garcia was critisized for not beating him with ease. Bute's best = Bika, Johnson. All those performances were great showings. Bute imo has been KO'd twice. Khan has lost 3 times but looked vulnerable much more often than Bute.

Let's be honest here, Khan was getting praise and people were saying that he had an iron chin because he was all over the place and so badly out on his feet that he didn't get stopped vs Maidana a tired Maidana. Don't ask me why but some on here believed that proved he had a granite chin.

i did get caught up in that his chin improved as he moved up, the Maidana thing i think was partly because Maidana was tired and partly because of Ariza, Khan was out but his legs were keepin him standin up, in the Garcia fight he was all over the place because of no Ariza

Morales put in a terrific effort against Maidana, however dare i say Maidana maybe overlooked Erik a little bit...

It's not just the British voting Bute, remember if we are lucky enough to hear anything on our news about boxing it is more often than not something about Khan, the majority of boxing news any of us see is on this website, which seeing as the majority of posters are Americans who tend to dislike Khan to us Bute is over hyped.

If you're thinking in regards to believing their own hype, the answer is obviously Khan, but in regards to general hype very few people believed khan could beat Mayweather, whereas there were alot of people who had Bute beating Ward, meaning in my opinion Bute was more overhyped.

I can say that I easily called both of these guys as the two most overrated fighters in all of boxing. GLAD to say I'm correct, and I laugh all the time at all the posts people used to make about these two guys. Hahahahaha, you guys suck at being able to analyze/predict!

Seriously though, bute was being regarded as a top p4p fighter who could defeat masterful fighters like ward etc.

I you consider the amount of hate khan gets, I dont think he was that overhyped

Bute. He's barely traveled. He's barely fought any one that's a considerable contender. When he made the step up, he got his ass handed to him.

Khan isn't a bad operator, his def is just very amateurish and we all know he has no chin..

Bute hands down. He fought nothing but no-hopers and has-beens at home and was brutally stopped when he finally stepped up. Atleast Khan fought the best many times away from home.

appearantly this post was overlooked cause Khan really doesn't have better wins then Bute and he's lost to lesser fighters.....so i'ma copy and paste it for the people claiming this:

It's Khan fosho!!! Khan and it ain't even close!!

Bute lost 1 fight and to Froch, a legit top fighter highly ranked by everyone who is just outside the top 10 p4p. Khan got KO'd by guys unheard of outside of hardcore boxing circles like Danny Garcia who wasn't rated by anyone here in the top 50 p4p, also Prescott and Peterson who fall into the same category but not as good as Garcia.

As far as their biggest wins:

    Khan-Bute

Judah= Johnson (older champ level fighters who were past their best but still good)
Kotelnik= Bika (kotelnik gave devon a close fight, Bika gave Ward a close fight and gave hell to some of the best in the division)
Maidana= Andrade (crude sluggers with iron chins and big punches who were both hyped up to better than they were in the end)
Malignaggi= Magee (dudes who went on to become champs after the loss)
Salita= Miranda (both kinda **** to be honest, edge to Miranda here though cause at least he has a punchers chance vs anyone)

So not only are their best wins at least equal but it's clear that Khan's lost to 3 lesser fighters than Froch and not only that but he's been KO'd by 2 of them.

It's easily Khan who is the bigger hype job. Especially since he had more hype and backing than Bute since day one and was hyped as future p4p fighter since his first pro fight. Even after the Peterson loss he was being hyped as a future Mayweather opponent!!
