Tua never put himself in the kind of danger Tyson did when he got knocked out vs Holyfield Douglas and Lewis.
Tyson was swinging for the fences in the late rounds against Holyfield and Douglas. Tua just shut down and let himself get poked and jabbed to a UD loss

Eating is one thing, drink and drugs are another.

Hmm? Picking Tua in the 90's to beat Tyson isn't outlandish by any means. Talk about a clash in the center of the ring.! the hooks would fly.
I'd probably bet on Tua as he'd be an underdog

I'd say they were both exactly the same in terms of power and durability

Like not even 0.001% difference between them in either department

Power: Tua (not by a lot)
    Chin: Tua
    Hand speed: Tyson
    Foot speed: Tyson
    Accuracy: Tyson
    Stamina: Tua
    Technique: Tyson
    Combinations: Tyson
    Ring IQ: Tyson
    Finishing ability: Tyson

If my choice is boxer A and B, and B hits slightly less hard with a slightly worse chin than A, but B has the speed, timing, and accuracy to actually make his power worth something, I'll go with boxer B every single time. Tua was a durable tank, but could be very ineffective due to his lack of imagination, speed, and fundamentals.

I'd rate Tua's power a 9, Tyson an 8. Tua's chin a 10, Tyson an 8 as well. They both lacked heart once they did get hurt and would often mentally shut down if they were losing badly and rarely managed to turn fights around.

Tua was had more power and was more durable than Tyson. Tyson's power was legit but was based in speed and accuracy. Tua's power was based solely on concussive force. Tyson was less durable as well. If you pressed on him enough you could stop him. Tua, you couldn't stop, beatable yeah.........but he could take heavy punishment.

Tyson. I dont see how anyway how Ike would take Tyson's combos. He'd be a cripple halfway through. Not to mention, Tua was getting his azz kicked before he cheapshotted Rahman after the bell.

At his peak, Mike Tyson was an A-level guy in all departments. A+ in fact. David Tua was B.

That wasn't a cheapshot. The punch came literally at the bell at the end of the fight.

Tyson was better in every way including power but Tua came nearer to him (at least in that one category) than most conemporaries.

Nah bruv it was a late shot and you know it. Doesn't matter, Rahman had him wobbly a bunch throughout the fight
