Yah, and it counts. But I have always wondered the rule on that.

Can you take a voluntary knee in a fight where there is no standing 8 count?

What's the rule regarding hitting a fighter whilst their down? Is that an automatic disqualification? Or if Griffen could've continued, perhaps a 2 point deduction to Roy for the intentional foul and the fight should've continued?

I mean, Mills Lane let Tyson continue after the first bite...

Well... it was a late hit, his title they had to take it. Why? I guess that's the only way he could lose. Don't worry though... five months later he needs his crown, gave him one shot and he sat down.

Basically, Roy cleared up the matter in a rematch.

Don't get him mad cause he's amped already... took titles from fighters who were champs already

Well either way, Griffin could have continued IMO. It was odd because I have seen similar fouls where points were taken, but the fight was allowed to go on.

Yes, like the foul in the Barrera-Marquez fight. Only Marquez did not get KTFO by the foul punch.

Tyson got beaten in his prime
    Jones did not.

    End of discussion.

IMO the Griffen DQ shouldnt go againt Roy in this debate. The bottom line Griffin got his ass beat and nobody can ever say Griffin really had Roy's number. Roy just got carried away beating Griffins ass and didnt stop but he proved he was dominant in the rematch. Plus, Jones had a longer prime than Tyson since some people say Tyson was out of his prime when he lost to Douglas.

I would argue that Tyson wasn't in his prime when he lost to Douglas.

Tyson was like a fast burning star, he shone very brightly then faded just as quickly... and it all had to do with circumstances outside of the ring.

Even though he delivers it well in the song, using "already" to rhyme with "already" doesn't particularly show great writing skills.
