Who was proud of Hopkins

    Americans fight and win and defend their titles over seas on a regular basis.

    im not proud of hopkins

    haye never won a world title over seas. if its just who has fought over seas than american fighter have fought over seas far more often.

    because a 'World' champion should be prepared to go anywhere and fight. Hopkins has been abroad once, Jones never, Mayweather never . All were given opportunities to fight abroad, but declined so their opponents were forced to go to the states.

    Muhammad Ali had some of his greatest nights abroad.

    You say you are not American, but you really talk like one, America may be the holy grail centre of the universe for you but its not for the majority.

    I thought he did great. At the age of 43, he knocked down and fought a dead even fight against a top fighter in his prime, who was coming off his best win. I was afraid before the fight that Calzaghe will win a wide (say 117-111) decision because of Bernard's age.
    But I was proud of Bernard, he showed what a smart fighter he is and also proved that as good as Calzaghe is, he just isn't as good as a prime Hopkins.

    two good fighters will make poor fighters look bad.
    but will also make each other look bad.
    that was a better fight for the two of them than you think.
    all fans should be proud of them anyhow.
    it wasnt that poor.
    not exciting ,but not poor.

    no not proud of his antics but gamesmanship is a part of sports deal with it its no different to diving in football (soccer)...its just bendign the rules to gain an advantage
