Ok - yeah. I'm all for feeling smug (and I do) but I prefer to maintain an air of quiet satisfaction and magnanimity...

That took me a coupla seconds (tired and hungover) but then I did LOL.

 

Who decided to have the damn thing at 12 AM- dumb ass- I knew HBO was buying time.

 

Really they both were schooled last night...Hopkins was, of course,...about those "white boys",...and Kovalev learned tons last night vs a crafty old veteran...and he stands to improve even more. He impressed me...he's much more than just a slugger.

 

Nobody got schooled. Kovalev fought a smart fight. Paced himself. Didn't punch himself out. Hopkins did what he could as the Much older, smaller fighter: he survived. That's about it.

 

Hopkins is not much smaller fighter. He is actually an inch taller with a bigger frame. And he picked that weight for the night. It was his choice. Kovalev has been 183 at fightnight in a previous fight.

 

Kovalev was the much bigger guy. Stop looking at Boxr*c and whatever else is printed online. Use your eyes.

 

A schooling is when a more physically gifted fighter is shown his flaws by the more technically sound fighter. That's not what happened last night, last night youth prevailed over experience, so nobody got schooled, though Kovalev may have taken Hopkins to the retirement home. It pains me to say it but Hopkins finally looked his age.

 

i voted 'the racists'. *****s won't be around for a few days. they're going on hiatus for a bit.
