I think Pintor and Chandler needed each other. The winner of that fight may have been mentioned more in this discussion.
Agreed. I would've favored Pintor in that one, but it's a mark against both men that they didn't make this fight.

Then I saw him fight Johnny Clark for the British and Common wealth Title at the old Wembley Pool.Your Dad was very unlucky to be around when the calibre of Champion was so high ,he could have been a world Champ in another era .I have a great deal of respect for him,and have never heard a bad word said about him.:good
Very nice of you to say so, they were great champs he had to fight. He wasn't a bad fighter either, Clark. By the way, both the Clark fights were at the Albert Hall. I'll pass on your comment to my dad, and thanks.
You are of course correct It was the R A H the second fight, memories going .Your Dad won on points, face like a school boy, but hard little man.
I wanted to go to that fight myself but he wouldn't let me go, I was only 7. The first time I saw highlights of it, I was in my 20's. I remember thinking to myself, I'm glad he didn't let me go, what a gruelling battle. Turned out to be his last, but he went out a winner, not many can say that.
