Cotto - famed for his body punching, but as soon as he started to drift away from it around the time he moved up to 147, his game dropped quite a lot. He barely attacked Mosley's body at all. Same goes for guys like Jennings and Gomez. Granted he walked through those guys, but had he stayed with his vicious body attack, his nights would have been even shorter. Hatton - check out the KO of Castillo and any clip of him on the heavy bag. Again, Hatton seemed to veer away from his body punching in recent times, and in fights such as against Mayweather and Pacquiao, and even Malignaggi, he would lunge in with wild overhand lefts leading face-first and get caught. Bute - Again, another good body puncher. Not famed for his power, but look at the way he dispatched Andrade. Perfect example.
Nobody in recent years was more dedicated to the body than hatton, and he was damned effective. He stopped more top shelf fighters to the body than any other fighter in recent years.
Floyd deserves a mention. Very effective body puncher and disciplined to stay with it throughout his fights.
