I think Floyd is the best inside fighter in the game today, but he does only when he has too, it isn't a huge part of his style.

I think Cotto was overrated as a body puncher, not because of his technique. Effective when he did it, but he didn't do it enough for his style, even in his early days. There are only a few fights I can remember him actually hammering to the body. If he would have taken a Chavez like approach to hammering the body he would have been more effective.

Barrera and Castillo were too much on the decline of their carreers to be mentioned for the whole 2000's They were mainly good between late 90's and early 00's

I think the best body puncher would have to be Margarito because it was instrumental to his success. Even if he cheated and his punches weren't technically the best, he went to the body religiously. I really didn't want to seem him and Cotto face off until they handled all the other 147 division first because they were my favorites, but I knew Margarito would win because they were both punchers, but Margartio had the better chin and that viscious body attack. In almost every fight in which a puncher faces a swarmer, the puncher looks good in the early rounds, but the swarmer wins because the puncher is there to get hit and broken down. Poor Cotto.
