Can't decide between Brodie especially when he got robbed against Jorrin or Herol Graham I think i'll say Brodie because for me that night he DID win the world title
Herrol Graham is a good shout. you have gotta think guys like Henry Cooper would have been world champions if he was about now with 4 world titles.
Your dad is certainly one of the best ever British fighters, Al. I remember he was shafted by an Aussie judge against Rose.
Fantastic shout, Herol Grahams name is the one that always springs to mind first for me on this one but yeah Watson is a fantastic shout.
I had a good watch of him for the first time the other day, yes he was incredibly good- but not for me a world beater. The Duran win was tremendous and proves that he COULD have won a world title- but what about Colin Jones, Watson, Graham.... my pick based on H2H peak ability. Richard Williams- he could have beaten them all.
Cheers mate! I had to put that up for the younger fellas, don't want him forgotten. Dave Charnley deserves a mention as well.
I have these fighters all tied together... :happy:happy...Michael Watson, Kirkland Laing and Herol Graham...:happy:happy I think that Henry Wharton was around at the wrong time and if he had been around a bit earlier or later he would have had a World Title for sure...:yep
Colin Jones, Herol Graham. Jones was within an ace of winning the WBC(?) strap when he was taken to a draw in the first fight and then a very, very, very close SD in the second fight with Milton McCrory
