    Huh?
Have you forgotten what we did to Japanese in this country during WWII?
or maybe because we called them "reservations" you don't count what we did to Native Americans?

I was with you about Ali not belonging on this list, but I'm not buying your arguments as to why.
As other posters have pointed out, many people who objected to war still found some way to serve, and I think some national service is a duty of anyone who benifits from living in this country, be it military, peace corps, Americorps, whatever, but don't whitewash history...there are enough politicians doing that already.

whosethere, i don't give a hoot what the hell you think. You in your infinite wisdom 71 years after Pearl Harbor know zilch, nada about that treacherous attack on the USA that infamous day...We were so traumitized by that event that I in public school Dec.8,1941,one day after the attack was forced to hide under our small desk in fear, not knowing when the next attack might occur...You sir, are a product of the "blame America"
teachers of our sick times...So ,think what you may SEVENTY ONE years later..Spit on the country that was violently attacked and forget the poor 3000 sailor souls still lying in their Arizona tomb...
The Japanese citizens were put in camps as a reaction to this unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor...Not condoning this , but no one died in the camp...
What the hell do you think would have happened to white citizens in Japan if we bombed their territory ? Look what they did in the "**** of Shanghai"
to thousands of Chinese citizens, women, children and babies, or do you care ? THe Japanese slaughtered thousands of civilians prior to the infamous Pearl Harbor attack...Yes the American Japanese citizens were
put in camps, but they were treated well, unlike the poor American soldiers in the Bataan DEATH MARCH...Yes blame America today, it is the fashionable thing to do, but SPARE me the breastbeating on your part...

:dealMy sentiments exactly burt..this ignorant mother****er would second guess the decisions this country had to take to defeat two monster war criminals in the Japanese and the Germans...and blame the wrong side. What do you expect,he probably got his history lessons from Michael Moore, Bill Maher and MTV. What an idiot.

He's probably equating those camps that the Japanese were interned in with the Nazi concentration camps.

rc, your post is like Mana to heaven for me...I try to avoid these political
idiots, trying to change history, because today it is in fashion to kick the hell out the USA, whilst our enemies get a free pass. This moron was not a gleam in his father, but somehow in his political correctness crap treats the USA like the enemy today...Let him say this bull**** today in Pearl Harbor
where thousands of sailors are dead in the holds of the Battleship Arizona, Seventy One years after the treacherous attack by the Japanese...
ESB is becoming so political these days rc that I, to preserve my sanity
might say Sayanora [no pun intended].
P.S. This nut belongs with a Bill Maher and Michael Moore...Thanks rc, :good

Holy ****. Not sure where you read all this into a simple post pointing out that you made a mistake in your history.
Suddenly anyone who disagrees with you is somehow unamerican?
People like you are the reason people like me ended up in a pointless war in Vietnam. America is perfect! We can justify anything because other people are evil!
I have more than a few dead friends because of that attitude, and 2 sons who went to Iraq because of that attitude and got to see their friends die.
From all of us who survived, and for all our friends who didn't, to all of you who made it happen....drop dead. I hope to be there to see all of you try to justify yourselves before god.

burt, this illustrates the problem with education today...these young idiots aren't taught anything. they're indoctrinated to think this pathetic pc ****. what they don't realize is that the world was under seige by two barbarically evil regimes who had a stranglehold on the nations under their heel. it was like fighting a rabid, mad dog. You have to take brutal measures yourself for the defense of and better good of the rest of humanity to suppress and kill those "rabid mad dog" nations, or else the world would be a very, very different place from what we're living in today. The evils of Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany were dealt with appropriately..and does he need any further proof? let the Russians weigh in on the subject...I'm sure they'd agree on how the war was conducted for the sake of all the rest of humanity.

Sir, I stay because there are posters who have good things to contribute
and I love the history of boxing...As far as being 'a drama queen," well it takes one to know one...Cheers.
