Most of those shots bounced off Watson`s high guard, no way could Watson take G-man`s power, he was one of the hardest punchers of all-time.
There’s a major difference between the streamlined, two fisted body blows McCallum interwove in his attack round by round and the single left hook to the body that McClellan could occasionally land with admittedly devastating results.
Look how G-man mixes up his shots to the head and body, that left hook would have killed Watson`s body. This content is protected
Benn was reckless v Watson, Watson was out-classed v McCallum, Eubank wasn`t that good, Nunn was sloppy, Kalambay was better defensively than he was offensively, Graham`s fundamentals were bad, Jackson was brilliant at 154 but stuttered at 160, McCallum was better at 154 and had a few good tricks but was highly flawed as a fighter overall.
None of those guys were ordinary. McCallum wasn’t highly flawed as a fighter. What are you talking about? He was a technician.
I think you’re doing them a great disservice. They weren’t fairly ordinary. Nunn looked great before his out of ring troubles affected his career. Kalambay and McCallum were excellent fighters.
