I voted Povetkin. The best guy Wlad fought and couldn't out-box. Here's a kicker - Tackam took 5-6 rounds off Povetkin . Using nothing but boxing skill. Wlad couldn't out-box Povetkin for even a minute. Not even A minute!!. And Tackam faced a much better , fitter stronger version of Povetkin.
Depends who they matched him with. He'd do okay against Bruce Seldon and Herbie Hide. Wlad v Akinwande would be 100% grappling.
Who did sultan ever annihilate? Povetkin smashes that glass chinned hype jobs to bits. He was no better than Mike Perez
I just checked some highlights again from Povetkin vs Klitschko and I am pretty sure Wladimir can get a golden medal in wrestling.
One fight does not make a career, especially over a Wlad that hadn't even hit his prime. Wlad's greatest accomplishments were post Sanders so that argument fails. Sanders was a guy in the right place to expose Wlad's flaws, that's it. As for Haye compared to Peter, Peter's only win that was noteworthy was the second fight vs. Toney. Nothing he did was heads or tails better than anything Haye had done. Peter barely escaped getting upended by an extremely shopworn Jameel Mccline LOL. Haye beating Ruiz (who Mccline lost to) and Monte Barrett would have been 2 of Peter's best wins.
Haye fought a more dangerous Wlad . Haye would K.O sanders. So the polling is viewed whichever way one wants. It would come down to Povetkin or Haye -Imop Haye is the more craftier fighter, stronger puncher . If they fought it would answer the question . Sanders had the southpaw style that Wlad didnt train for either , im not sold Sanders was the best based on being motivated twice in his career but has to be top 3 based on Vitali Klitchko fight .
