Hearns and Hagler are interchangeable for me.
Duran and Leonard are set in stone though.

Yeah Duran beat Leonard and brought it to Hagler, but he got creamed by Hearns and was never really the same afterwards. Sugar Ray was the most talented, but he was too much of a showman and i think that came back to plague him a little. The Hitman was good, but wasn't in the same league as Leonard or the best of the 4.... Undisputed middleweight King - Marvelous Marvin Hagler!

Leonard was/is a cocky *******, but he was the best out of those.
But if you'd put them in the current boxing scene, I'd say Hearns and Hagler would have the most success. Hearns would mauler through the current crop of WWs, JMWs and MWs and Hagler would own at MW.

Leonard would have problems vs Floyd, because even as good as he was, I don't think he's as much of a pressure fighter, that you'd need to be to beat Floyd.

The best fighter was the one who beat all of the other 3: Marvin Hagler.

And after watching it about 20 times, I still have never scored the HAgler-Leonard fight in favor of Ray. That was what I call a "personality decision".

Hagler is my favorite one and if I had to study just one of their styles it would be his. As far as best, I'm a fan of all 4(Hagler the most of course ha ha) and this is a pretty tough question. I'll just say Hagler to answer your question and be biased at the same time. Killin two birds with one stone!

    Duran, clearly from Leonard

    (considerable gap)

    Then Hagler, and Hearns
