Who was the best out of these heavies?

    Some say modern heavies would beat past greats so who was the best out of these diffderent sized heavyweight champs?

    Hard to compare fighters from different eras. If forced to choose, my vote would be Ali.

    Ali and Frazier.

    I understand Frazier’s small stature prevents him from being the potential GOAT head to head. But, among fighters I’ve seen fight at Heavyweight, he was the best along with Ali and Tyson. In pound for pound terms. And yes, that makes sense. The disparity in weight over time at Heavyweight is essentially as big as the gap between Straw and Cruiser. In absolute terms, anyway. As in raw poundage, not percentages.

    Course he does, he's in the top five for me. He suffered only two defeats, both avenged, ruled over the division for years.

    He ruled over no one great, fought little in the way of the best of his day he came around at the right time.

    He fought practically every top ten heavyweight of his era. Wasn't his fault that Holyfield and Tyson were on the down slide by time they met.

    I think he does and, outside of Ali ,I think he is possibly the toughest for the others to beat!
