Who was the best pound for pound...........Roy Jones or Floyd Mayweather

    Roy Jones peak years were probaly from the James Toney win 1994 to the John Ruiz win 2003...........thats nearly a full decade as the best pound for pound fighter in the sport by most peoples opinons

    Floyd Mayweather comes along and from around 2001 the Diego Corrales win people were hailing him as the best pound for pound fighter

    Over the last 15 years in boxing...............Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather have been stand out pound for pound greats

    The question is.............who was the greatest prime for prime and pound for pound?

    Jones was better. Floyd at 130 was a special fighter but i don't think he was better than roy at 168 and roy has a slightly better resume

    Spot on. Jones tested himself to prove he was the best. Mayweather retired with Margo, Cotto & Mosely still in his division

    Both good, One Better than the other...Both Picked their opponent's wisley.
    Both have left boxing history hanging with a load of "What if's"?
    (By not fighting alot of the top fighter's in or around their class)

    I agree with you

    However I heard a number of people say that Floyd is better than Roy

    There is a Brit Forum poster called RobPalmer135 and he says Roy Jones is the best fighter of the last 15 years (apart from Mayweather)............................I think he also rates Mayweather as the best boxer of all time :patsch
