Dick McTaggert gets lots of respect and is still known and spoke of by many people, my dad said like you Ted, he, McTaggert was on TV every week. He also hangs with Scots boxing people and is present at every gathering, which is fine as he was a big part of Scottish boxing, but the down side to this is that boxing has grown so thin in modern times and particularly in Scotland, that the only names remembered are Benny, Kenny, Jim Watt and Dick McTaggart.

Scotland has got at least a dozen GREAT names who are equal & better than those names but never get mentioned, even in their circles, absolute crime and not at all an accurate account of Scotlands great fighting legacy.

    BERT GILROY
    ALEX LAFFERTY
    ELKY CLARK
    PETER KEENAN
    TOMMY MILLIGAN
    JIM BRADY
    TANCY LEE
    DAN MCGOLDRICK
    JOHNNY MCGRORY
    JAKE KILRAIN
    KEN SHAW

the few others already mentioned and they'll be a few more yet, no disrespect to McTaggart, but these great & top noted PRO's deserve the respect, accolades and legacy first!
