Joe Louis. His right cross was king but his left hook was something awful as well. Not to mention the uppercuts he could slam on the inside. AND not to mention up until that point he had the greatest jab in history.

In reality every punch of Louis' was picture perfect. You can't fault his offensive game one bit.

Tyson could bomb with both hands also. The right he hit Tillman with is my favourite Tyson KO.

    Another vote for Joe Louis.

Liston, Foreman, and Tyson were next. If Tyson and Foreman used their jab more, maybe they would rival Louis. Liston punched better worth both hands consistently than Foreman and Tyson.

I can't see putting marciano on the list and leaving Dempsey off.

Joe Louis, the single greatest offensive force in the history of the division. And one of few fighters it was bad strategy to hurt.

Ive said it before, but Joe Louis and Robinson are the two best punchers ever. Seen the reaction of their opponents, its like theres a slow motíon bump in space time before they rapidly fall to the canvas knocked the **** out

Yeah, you can't really get past Louis. Tyson follows closely, and after that there's a bit of a gap before you reach the next heavyweight who'd feature on a list of 'pound-for-pound best punchers.' These two are in the top five for me.

Hard to argue against Joe Louis. He wrote the book on punching. He had a complet arsenal. The fact that he put them together in combinations made it even more devastating.

I'm not a big Ali fan, but he could put together flurries like no one I've ever seen. Fascinating to watch.

Louis, Tyson, Liston, Marciano, Foreman, Dempsey.

    In that order.
