A question to the fans. Who was the better fighter?

    Antwun Echoles or Mario Veit?

Look past the hype and how much you recognise one fighter and not the other etc and give your honest answer.

    Now after read on...

A Echoles lost his debut KO 1 to a 11-13-0 fighter
then had a MD loss to C Johnson, a draw with E lucas, then lost twice to Hopkins, then later lost to Mundine. Now Echoles has lost many times since but I will end that there, rather than ridicule a brave warrior.

M Veit has only ever lost to world champs or fighters that went on to become world champs and has a win over current WBO LHW champ Braehmer when he was undefeated.

Look at common opponent Brewer who put Echoles down 3 times to how Veit dismantled and stopped Brewer clearly.

Hope this helps people who are deluded by promotion and name recognition, rather than results.

Please answer the question honestly as to who you thought before reading on and your opinion after :good

Brewer was shot when Veit beat him. The problem with Veit is that he can not take a punch and the fact he got stopped by delicate hands Calzaghe emphasizes this. Better wins Veit but 1 on 1 I would pick Echols to win given that he also has decent power.

No crack at Hopkins. The point is Echoles was better known and in The Ring rankings when Veit although world rated wasnt even though he had a better resume and career. Its not about the fighters that beat them, but more to try and take people out of the delusional hype

Echols always was a very average figher who achieved little during his career. Veit was better by far.

Echoles couldnt take a shot either. But look at their resumes and how they performed against respective opponents. Between Brewer losing to Echoles and Veit, he had only lost to Calzaghe in that time and most of his wins were KOs so do you still believe he was that shot :huh

Yes that's how I feel. Who hypes Echols? The only time I really hear him brought up is when people say how bad Hopkins' MW reign is compared to Hagler's. To be fair, Hagler in his reign fought in a better time with better opponents available. Still, Hagler>>>Hopkins. Sorry, I'm a bigger Hagler fan than I am a Hops fan lol.

''delusional hype''? Who hyped Echols? Who? If you call being in the top 10 in The Ring being overrated then you need to re-evaluate things.

:goodThanks. I was watching Taylor-Chavez highlights earlier today & a day or two ago someone made comparisons between Taylor-Chavez & Pacquiao-Margarito. Plus Chavez-Taylor fights are a few of my fav fights lol. My next avy most likely will be a poster of Pacquiao-Marquez.
