You know pounds mean way more to light fighters, don't you? You sound like a novice.

    Toney lost to Drake Thadzi.

    Dedication counts.

Objectively, Floyd's resume is better than Toney's.

Sure, you can pick apart any fighter's resume, but it's not hard to pick apart Toney's because he had a myriad of losses - a few of which were to mediocrities.

Can't say the same about Mayweather.

As for Ruiz: Absolutely the Ruiz who Jones beat was just as mediocre as the Ruiz Toney beat.

I don't need a Ruiz comparison to know Jones was better than Toney. Jones proved it in the ring against Toney.

But, this is about Mayweather v. Toney.

I never liked Mayweather, but he was pound for pound a better and more accomplished fighter than Toney.

It does and it is a mark against Toney.

Are you sure you want to go down that route? Toney fought guys weighing 80 pounds more than at middlweight.

Actually it doesn't. It is all a percentage of weight gained or lossed measured against your original body weight , whether you are skinny, medium, fat, light, heavy, whatever you want to call it ... So it would be he gained or loss x %

They did? In what proportions? I had it very close, but find it a bit hard to give Floyd the majority of the rds. But, of course, when fights are as close as that...

Toney-McCallum 2 is a robbery for me, though. If Toney had won the first one, no problem. That fight was a toss-up imo. But I just can't see what rounds you're going to give Toney in the rematch for him to win it.

That's basically a fancy way of saying the same thing as me: pounds mean more to lighter fighters.

It was about 60:40 in favor of Mayweather. I can't find an exact tally atm. I had it to Mayweather close back then and I wasn't really a fan of his at the time. I watched about half of the fight a couple years ago and turned it off when I realized I was gonna score for Floyd again. It's hard to really call it anything but close considering press scores.

    Floyd was better at boxing.

    Toney was better at eating.

Kind of a toss up, really.

Seeking the difference in Toney and MOney is an empty prospect.

Yeah, I scored it again yesterday and had it by a point for Castillo or a draw. Didn't feel there were anymore particularly close rds, though.
