Who were the most dangerous Welterweights that Mayweather has beaten?

Trinidad beat a pretty good crop of 147lbers..DelaHoya, Campos, Oba Carr an older but still potent Hector Camacho. Whitaker has a big name but he was diminished quite a bit.

 

Tito beats his ass.

 

He beat De LaHoya, Cotto, Pacqiauo and Moseley.

Not a bad bunch.

 

Good bunch, too bad DLH, Mosely or Pac were past prime, and Cotto was never at their levels. But that said, one has to also acknowledge that Floyd too was past prime when he fought this guys.

 

Paciqauo was seen as the best ww out there asides from Floyd.

Mosely was seen as the third best ww out there after Floyd and Pac.

Cotto was the champion when Floyd fought him.

The way the actual fights went, I don't see any of them doing any better if they took a time machine and went back in time.

 

And they were past their best when he met them.

Cotto: Still prime. only had a drop to pac and margarito, no shame. Remember, the old school fighters would take losses too, because they fought more. I may be in the minority, but I think losses are overrated. And this is coming from a Floyd fan

They were coming off wins, but none of them were career defining. Mosley's career defining win was against DeLaHoya in 2000, Hattons was against Kostya Tszyu, Cotto had yet to face Martinez, and there are some who believe Pacquiao never truly beat Marquez.

 

Don't get me wrong, I much preferred watching Tito, but he was very one dimensional, albeit destructive.

I could see Floyd side stepping and countering all day long. Plus Tito has the kinda chin that can be tagged with unsuspecting shots so Floyd might drop him.

The question is whether Floyd can run for 12, we all know Oscar couldn't and imo Tito has a good argument for winning that fight. But the blueprint is there, if Floyd is better conditioned there's no reason he can't replicate it.

 

And Floyd was 36-38 when he fought 3 of them.

Infact, one of the main reasons why Mayweather Pacqiauo finally happened is because of how poor Floyd looked in the 2 Maidana fights, hence why roach was confident they'd win because 'Floyds legs were gone'.

Regarding who's win,

Floyd beats the one dimensional Tito every day of the week.

I don't care how hard you punch, power doesn't mean chit when you're punching thin air all night long.

Floyd is too smart to lose to someone as basic as Tito.

And there's no possibility of an off night either for Tito to get 'lucky'.

 

Floyd would have beaten Tito.

 

A 38 year old that has taken less damage in the sport than ANY fighter EVER.

A 38 year old who's style is BUILT AROUND not getting hit.

He is FAR from the average 38 year old boxer. Far from it.
