The Michael Grant hype machine was ridiculous in North America.

That is when the flames of hope for a "HW savior" still burned. :yep

North Americans haven't given a **** for a generation now, after so many disappointments - so if Michael Grant came along today he probably would be totally unknown.

Michael Grant was the original Lucian Bute... the hype around him was insane and Lewis was suppose to pass the torch.

    Another underrated win by Lewis.

Of all time is a really tough question. There are a lot of big bust out
    there but of all time?

Michael Grant was getting alot of talk in America. He was supposed to
    destroy Lennox.
Maybe Buster Douglas. after beating Tyson?

Nah. Buster had been around for a while already, had fought on TV and by then everyone pretty much knew what his limits were supposed to have been. It wasn't like he came from total obscurity to stop Mike; he was a massive underdog precisely because he was known, and his inconsistency and usual lack of motivation caused most to see him as Kid Dynamite cannon fodder.

He didn't suddenly alter how everyone perceived him to seem like an unstoppable h2h machine simply for springing the upset, despite the enormity of it.
