    I agree with Biggs but he was more of an underdog than Grant because Tyson was seen as superhuman back then, having said that I do remember him cupping his mouth like an old pic of Ali and my newspaper saying him meeting Tyson would be like Ali v Frazier, but he also started the first couple of rounds better than Grant did v Lewis, Biggs was far better than Grant, I don`t even know what Grant was trying to do v Lewis.

    I don't remember Ty Biggs being 'hyped'.
    Duva pushed him forward like anyone woulda done but no more.
    The man was world and Olympic Amateur champ ( no USA champ since) so he was already high profile. 15-0 with some good tough wins , but he had to go through just about the best version of Mike Tyson.
    He put up a better effort than many of his contemporaries. Loses to Damiani ( cut) Mason , Bowe ( excellent effort/fight) were no disgrace. He was beaten at that level mentally by the time he fought Lennox. He had a run of wins beating the unbeaten Marin on a Tyson undercard. The guys who beat him in his heyday were very good or even ATG's and all unbeaten and prime or heading to prime. I wouldn't say Biggsy was a hype job, just couldn't win at elite level in a quality era.
    He gotta bit of stick for being an Ali clone but it was just his style and he couldn't help the fact he actually even looked like Ali at a similar age.

    Jim Lampley and HBO team did their best to hype Michael Grant.

    Grant had a lot of hype around him .Remember reading a article about him ,basically saying he was all ready to beat Lewis and clean uo the division .A few people bought in to it to.

    Herbert "Maori" Slade was probably worse. Atleast Munroe beat Maher and Sharkey (when they were shot)

    I was in high school when Michael Grant was coming up and I remember how hyped he was and hearing/reading how he was can't miss. At least in my lifetime he's probably who I'd say is the biggest hype job. For whatever reason I just remember him being more hyped than Price. Harrison is a good shout but at least he did something albeit in the amateurs/olympics. Grant had the trainers and the hype train all lined up and rolling and really did not amount to anything.

    Good shout!!! But he was more of a circus act than a hypejob. As a matter of fact in gridiron as well although at least he was good in that.
