Two Ton Galento was apparently physically dirty in the hygiene sense also. Smelt like a bum. He should’ve “moidered” himself.

Well Richard, the thing to remember is that Rocky, in the heat of battle, had to bury himself deep into "The Zone"...like a punching machine..and anything that happen in the periphery,..well, he'd barely notice.

I'm sure a lot of the others would like to use that line.

He'll Knock You Into Tomorrow Rock. Truer words spoken by Mickey Goldmill, Rocky II.

Maybe Liston tossed Tony Galento upside down in that dumpster in 1957 too. Ha Ha.

Well all of the obvious ones have already been mentioned, so I’ll throw out a slightly more obscure one.

Elijah Tillery with his kickboxing against Riddick Bowe. Turned out to be a real thug outside of the ring too and is behind bars last I heard.

Thought Terry Norris would have gotten a mention by now. He"s had 3 DQs off the top of my head for blasting opponents when they were down, hitting behind the head, and hitting after the bell. I don't believe Norris ever planned those tactics though, the way somebody like Galento might have. The dude just had zero impulse control it seemed...

Hahaha good call, I'd forgotten all about two ton Tony and his lack of hygiene.
Primo Carnera allegedly pulled Tommy Loughran in close and breathed garlic breath on him.

Reporter, who was getting bored of listening to Galento answer "I'll moider da bum" to every question - "Tony what did you think of Shakespeare?"

Galento "Ain't he one of dem European heavyweights? I'll moider da bum"

It would’ve been more appropriate if Two Ton simply told us who WASN’T a bum - citing possible exceptions to the apparent Galento Rule.

Jackie Gleason had cause to regret asking Galento to step outside after two ton had been heckling him while he was on stage.
Gleason said he was going to give this little fat bald fella a smack when next thing he's waking up with a doctor administering to him.
And somebody told him the little fat bald bloke was Tony Galento.............whoops too late

Not the worst fighter by any means, but in the modern day Shakur Stevenson is incredibly dirty, so many low blows, stiff arming and some use of the elbows. Orlando Salido also plain loved hitting people in the nuts and being a shithouse. Henry Armstrong was considered a bit dirty because of the use of his head and elbows constantly but I think that was more his inside mailing style being put to work rather than deliberate fouling.
