Eder Jofre. Was considered pound for pound #1 for about half of the decade and dominated his division before losing two close decisions to a fellow all-time great. Won every other fight in dominant fashion (apart from a draw in a non-title fight which he led but by the South American scoring system was a draw) and was the best all around fighter of that era period.

Overall, it's probably between Griffith, Tiger, Harada and Ortiz... and Jofre. I personally don't think Griffith is by far and away the greatest, although he'd probably be my overall pick too.
What hurts Jofre compared to Ali is that Eder doesn't have the big, signature win like Ali has over Liston, a man thought to be invincible. If you ask me who was the better, more complete fighter? Jofre. He was like a hybrid of Robinson and Louis. So I'd say Jofre in his prime was probably the BEST fighter in the decade, but the Liston victory shades it for Ali in terms of accomplishments. Ironic that both Ali and Jofre would suffer their first career defeats to two all time great pressure fighters.
