If my memory serves correctly, Holyfield had some type of heart issue during his last fight with Bowe and was TKO'd in 95. Cant remember whether they claimed some issue along thos lines when he TKO'd Moorer in 97. Not sure they were ever officially classified as heart attacks,
He actually suffered a dislocated shoulder against Moorer in 94 and was diagnosed with a heart ailment during his post fight stay in the hospital. Holyfield is linked to use of HGH which could go a long way to explain why he had the heart ailment in the first place. I don't believe Holyfield ever suffered a heart attack, especially during a fight. I don't know where this is coming from.
Holyfield had shoulder problems against Moorer, and he later said when he went to the hospital, they gave him too much morphine and it made his heart look irregular. He briefly retired from April 1994 to about a year later when he fought Ray Mercer. Later in the rubber match against Bowe, he looked bad and devoid of energy at times. He later said it was from Hepatitis B.
A heart-attack yeah right....lol....I know a guy who died on the canvas and Ko'ed his opponent brutally 3 rds later.
Holyfield had heart palpatations, but I don't think he experienced it while he was in the middle of a fight. I know he was suffering from Hepatitis B during the Bowe rubber match, which was why he looked terrible.
Yeah it's been said that his ailments were consistent with HGH use. The NSAC didn't test for HGH back then though so they simply asked him if he used and he said no, and that was that.
