Who was the first boxer you were a fan of?

Gotta say, I love Ricky Hatton. Have I told you about my Dad forcing me to stay up with him to watch the Mayweather fight? For years there were posters of Ricky on the walls in my Dad's room, my God-Mother's room and at the pub my Dad went to when he was young(er).

I'm even starting at Mathew Hatton's gym in January. I know it's a longshot, but maybe I'll meet him.
We even have a day every few months where we watch him bang Paulie Mallanagi.

As you've probably guessed I'm far from a Dempsey guy.

 

More like a tough ol rooster. I saw Ray Robinson fight on Friday night fights in my Dad’s lap but was too young to appreciate what I was seeing.

 

I remember you telling me about Mathew. The guy, from everything I've heard, is a class act. Lucky for you, eh!

Don't understand the Dempsey dislike though, even if you think he's overrated (fair enough). Brilliant story and awesome style.

Yeah, it's that I think he's overrated. I don't actually dislike him.

 

The dark destroyer was the first boxer that I was a fan of but the only boxer I would say I was fanatical about was Naz actually RJJ aswell

Chris Eubank Snr, but that went rapidly down hill after he retired..Joe Frazier was before my time but him Joe Calzaghe are my all time favourites, GGG also
