Lewis and it's not even close. Calzaghe's resume simply can't compete with Lewis'.

Joe Calzaghe beat Chris Eubank, made twenty title defences, reigned for ten years and cleaned out the super middleweight division.

After unifying the SMW belts he moved up to LHW and beat the #1 ranked fighter there.

The Ring Magazine ranked him as the #2 P4P fighter in the world.

I gotta give it to him.

    Lennox was great too though.

    I agree with Chairman, JC.

Anyway, Lewis was a HW and on the whole HW boxing stinks except for a few standouts in each era. Very few have the skills of thier lighter weight colleagues!

Lennox ruled several titles facing the best, Calzaghe only ruled the smallest title in his weight and cherrypicking to stay unbeaten, so the differecne is pretty significant.

If Zaghes had been prepared to unify early whatever the cost, and thus lose a few fights, then try and rewin his titles a few times, then he'd be better than Lewis, but he chose instead to remain undefeated whilst holding only the smallest safest part of the pie. So Zaghes chose to keep his zero losses, a choice Lennox could have made by facing safe options but then Lennox would have a weaker legacy if he had done a Calzaghe.

    Lewis.

If Calzaghe had actually taken more risks early on he might've been able to eclipse him, I think he had the talent, but he wasted his best years making mickey mouse title defences at home.

I think he got far too preoccupied with keeping that '0'.

Hopkins ducked Calzaghe. Ottke ducked Calzaghe.

How the **** was he supposed to face them when they ran like bitches from him?

He unified when he had the chance.

    You're a ****ing dumbass.

    :deal

Plus it doesn't get any better than being Undisputed HW champ.

Like has been said though, it isn't even close. One is a genuine ATG the other is a HOF'er.

I'd be surprised if this was close at all.

Calzaghe had a nice career, but Lewis really left his mark on the sport. Outstanding, dominant fighter.
