Who was the Greater British Fighter - Lewis or Calzaghe?

Joe Calzaghe is one of my favorite fighters


I wish this poll was used to bash some Eastern Euros or Americans. But being forced to pick between two greats is hard.


I Love Joe Calzaghe, he once inhaled cocaine off my thighs.


But Lewis got him here.

Nothing astounding about it.

Calzaghe probably tops the all time list at 168, took the ring title at 175, set a record for non-hw defenses and retired undefeated, so a case could be made.

Lewis, IMO, ranks 3 or 4 all time in his division, had a couple of losses ( which he avenged), beat every man he ever faced, and retired as champion. So a clear case could be made for him too.

The deciding factor is the level of competition each man faced. And on that basis, I believe Lennox should get the nod.

Where does he rank? Will he pass Lewis then?

 

this is not close. lennox fought the best and was undisputed heavyweight champ. calzaghe shouldn't be mentioned with lennox.

 

Clazaghe never lost. Lewis was KTFO by two bums.

 

How is this a poll?

Lewis is a top 3-7 ATG HW. Arguably the GOAT.

Calslappy was the best SMW/LHW of this generation and probably 10-15 ATG, but no one would ever consider him the GOAT of his weight class by any stretch.:shock:

Lewis. Although i think of him more as canadian. He learned his craft in canada, and in both olympics he represented canada.

 

Didn't know this was up for debate.....Slappy Joe= Barely cracks the top 100 ATG list and proly doesn't.....Lewis a legit top 50 ATG and top 5 heavyweight ATG.....this debate is nonsense
