Well? I personally think Charles was the greater fighter,my reasons are. He defeated Moore 3 times. I feel he was the better LHW, and was basically champion, but just not in name. I think he beat the better fighters, and he done something Moore cound't do and that was win the Heavyweight Title.
Charles is the better head to head, better against common opponents, better wins, but doesn't have as much longevity.
Noone feeling any love for the mongoose?? He's an ATG for me but I concede Charles moved up to heavy more succesfuly. However you have to factor in Moore's age when he moved as he fought until he was like 90!! Both hall of famers tho and I'd love to have seen either one fight in the flesh.
Bad analogy. Moore took on and regularly beat heavyweights. Moore fought all the time. He fought everybody.
