What does Winky beating him in the comparison though?
Are you saying Martin Murray would have done better vs Winky?
What performances the likes of Joppy,Mayorga and Cherifi does Murray have?

Murray was robbed vs. Martinez and Stirm in world title fights and nobody else ever stopped him.

    That doesnt answer the question.
I agree he won vs that version of Martinez but the hirrible Sky machine had you done,he didnt get robbed vs Sturm, just a narrative pushed at the time.
Score the fight and see what you get.

Fair enough say he lost a close one vs. Sturm robbed vs. Martinez he was overall a more proven middleweight than Tito.

Even if you believe that it s marginally at best and does not reflect in ability.
Murray was a really average fighter. You cant name a good winning performance from him his whole career.

Which says a lot about his career.
    Grasping at straws anyway.
There is no significant argument to show Murrwy was better than MW Trinidad.
I would say its significantly the other way but that s just me.

No disrespect to Golovkin, but this is a disresectful question to Hopkins to even ask.

GGG for sure. Especially when you factor in the brace of wins over Clen who unlike Oscar should be 0-2 above 154 and Tito who is 3-3 above 154, Clenelo has improved a lot and got a lot better since moving up from 154. Don't forget GGG's run has been on the road and in his opponent's backyards and he wins his fights via clean boxing and honest graft and doesn't have to foul and cheat incessantly to get the W. The only time B-Hop took to the road and fought one of his opponents in their backyard during his MW run he got dropped x 2 by a shaman from Ecuador and could only escape with a draw.

If the judges weren’t on the take, his win over Clenelo would be far superior to either De La Hoya or Trinidad for Hopkins, even the Trinidad win in hindsight wasn’t that great, at the time it was very good but we all knew Trinidad was not a true middleweight after that fight. And the De La Hoya fight? That one was not impressive at all. Let’s be real here.

There is no wide gap between the two. Both fought in weak eras.

I like Hopkins as a boxing commentator, but I never liked him as a boxer.

He used illegal tactics and had a negative defensive style, which made his fights dull to watch.

In contrast, Golovkin has been one of the most exciting boxers of the past few decades.
