I think the Holmes win was a very good win and between them (Hopkins and Golovkin) probably the best win
I could make arguments for some of the wins either way, but that one was a win against a decent rival MW champion

I think Hopkins win over Joppy was a very good win also

    Than Holmes?
Holmes had a record of 36-2, was 6-1 in MW world title fights and had beaten some top MWs

Murata was 16-2, was 4-2 in MW world title fights

Look at Holmes wins over Cherifi, Woodhall, Taylor, McCracken

Do you really think that is a greater win?

Just because he hadn't been dropped in 18 fights isn't really indicating he was better than Holmes.

You say he beat everyone he has fought but lost to fighters that I don't think would be rated as highly as some of the names I mentioned on Holmes record

They both had 2 losses respectively but Holmes had had more than twice as many fights

He had 20 fights against bums and guys with no wikipedia page, he had beaten 0 (ZERO) world champions when he fought Oscar in a fight most thought he won. He had 1 title defense
Daniel Jacobs is a better win than all 3 of those. Also Jackson was washed up and won 1 fight after he lost to Hopkins, he was also coming off a loss to a literal bum. Also Johnson lost 2 fights in a row after the Hopkins loss

I haven't said Jacobs wasn't a better win than Oscar for Hopkins

I would say that overall Sturm has had a greater career than Jacobs

You could also be of the opinion that Sturm could have got the decision over Oscar and not forget that Jacobs had been very unwell and already beaten when he fought Golovkin

I genuinely think the Jacobs win for Golovkin was a good win. Golovkins best win imo

On the same note when you mention Sturm hadn't had many title defences when he fought Oscar, I seem to think Lemiuex was making only his first defence when he fought Golovkin

Don`t think so and GGG even lucky to get that decision over Jacobs as he was v Dereveyenchnko

Many feel Derevyanchenko as a good win for Golovkin (which I think it was also) and he had had less fights than 15, already suffered a close defeat, not been a world champion and didn't have any wins as good as some Sturm had at the time of those respective fights

Something to take a note of, GGG has 20 ko title defenses out of 22, that's a special kind of ability.

i never mentioned lemiuex and lemiuex was aldo much more experienced with better wins than sturm and ggg domianted lemiuex beginning to end
chenko had 360 amateurs fights and had fought a top guy like jacobs took him to the wire, i thought he clearly lost tho. He also had 2 decent wins over B level guys like Tureano and Culcay better than any win Sturm had. He was also like 32 or something
a lot were bums. you're a ggg fanboy

Yes, I prefer Golovkin's roster. There are guys like Stevens, Rosado etc that could fit in there that are a handful. And let's not forget that he actually defended successfully against Canelo, even though he was robbed of the W.

Could also mean that after such a long amateur career that he may also have been in too many fights

We won't know until the end of their careers with Lemieux or chenko but we know with Sturm that he was a 4 time MW champ and won 3 different world titles

You say that you don't rate Sturm when he fought Oscar because he was early in his career, yet I see many site Hopkins as a good win for Jones jr for example
So your argument is that because Sturm was early in his career before he went on to win so many other fights, he wasn't a good win?

I mentioned Lemieux as you said Sturm had only had one defense when Lemiuex hadn't had any
You say you feel Lemieux had better wins, but he also had losses if look at it both ways

We can also look and see where they have gone on after those respective fights and Sturm did achieve more
