Who was the greatest and WHY: Oscar v Tito

I agree but in my opinion Trinidad would always fall slightly below DLH because of the boxing politics... don't get me wrong I like DLH, but it's unfair when both opponents fought almost the same opposition and one is doing the risk taking more often, while the other focuses more if he could beat him then I could beat him... I always give the extra notch to those who take the risk on all comers and perform well... How many olympic winners has Trinidad taken out? how many title defenses did he have at 147? camacho,campas, oba carr, mayorga, vargas fought Trinidad when their career were still with a spark... DLH still should be giving credit for his fights against Mosley... but do to what he has done for boxing people would always have him higher than Trinidad... all I know Trinidad had a lot of respect, always had good ppv ratings, and did all this with not a word of speaking English... that right there shows the type of fighter Trinidad was when everyone tuned in on fight night...

Try this one, 3 out of the 5 wins DLH had after 2002 and beyond were Trinidad left overs,, the other two against Stevie Forbes most recently and the other one controversial decision over Felix Sturm... hes 5-3 after 2002, easily could have been 4-3:deal

Tito beat Oscar, in a close one it was DLH' decision to run, he was out of gas. Tito would have eventually knocked his ass out. DLH fought all those fighters you wrote in your thread and Tito fought them all first and beat them before Oscar, every single last one. Take a look do the research, as such Tito gets more credit for beating everyone of them than Oscar, end of story. Tito unified Titles and always took the toughest challenges. In the annals of boxing history Tito's name will always be ahead of Ocar DelaHoyas always as he was the greater Warrior, fighter and always the more exciting fighter.

 

what about tito and quartey. they were the other 2 best welters in the world when oscar fought them

waht about BHOP. he was by far the best middle

 

what makes DLH resume better than Trinidads? A lost to Wright, Jones, and Hopkins is no shame, esp. when your fighting at someone elses weight, hall of famers, and coming out of retirement:hey

As others have already stated, what's happened between then and now in no way AT ALL vaults DLH damn near 30 spots to get ahead of Tito. DLH has more fights in that time span, with mediocre wins and more losses. Those ratings would either stay the same, or they'd both drop. And considering DLH was only 71 on a list of 80, that means he'd more than likely be off the list.

Oscar by a hair. It doesn't matter, though, as Tito will always be more beloved.
